Vijay-led TVK passes resolution against One Nation One Election

Actor-politician Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) passed resolutions opposing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, the proposal for ‘One Nation, One Election’, and the Waqf Amendment Bill. They also condemned the DMK government for the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu. TVK demanded that education should be included only in the State List to have the power to revoke NEET. They believe ‘One Nation, One Election’ goes against democracy and federalism. Vijay called for celebrating November 1 as Tamil Nadu Day to honor those who fought for the state’s linguistic provinces.
