The Health Ministry’s U-WIN Portal is now operational on a pilot basis, aiming to fully digitize vaccination services for pregnant women and children up to 17 years old. Over 6 crore beneficiaries have been registered, with 1 crore vaccination sessions held and 23 crore vaccine doses recorded. The portal offers citizen-centric services like anytime access, self-registration, automated SMS alerts, and a QR-based eVaccination Certificate. Additionally, a new treatment regimen for TB and an indigenous diagnostic system have been introduced to improve TB diagnosis and reduce treatment duration. The Minister also mentioned an increase in medical colleges and MBBS and PG seats to address the shortage of doctors in the healthcare system.
