Tripura Human Rights Commission demands report on death of B’desh under-trial prisoner



The Tripura Human Rights Commission has asked for a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police (Prison) regarding the death of a female under-trial Bangladeshi national. The Commission wants information such as the prisoner’s health screening report, videography of the post-mortem examination, and the cause of death based on a scientific report. The prisoner, Faima Bibi, died at a hospital after being rushed from Central Correctional Home in deteriorating health. The Commission is investigating the circumstances of her death, as it is their duty to do so. They have also informed the National Human Rights Commission about the case.
