A 19-year-old named Syed Javeed from Bengaluru tragically passed away after falling into an open drain on Sunday night. He had been unconscious since the incident and succumbed to his injuries five days later. His mother filed a complaint against BBMP officials and contractors for negligence, stating that they were responsible for her son’s death. The case will now be converted into death due to negligence. It is a heartbreaking situation that could have been prevented with proper safety measures in place.
