Traffic reforms at Edappally help lessen congestion, says MVD

Traffic congestion at Edappally Junction has significantly decreased thanks to new traffic regulations implemented by the Motor Vehicles Department. The changes, such as restrictions on right turns and increased green signal time, have led to a smoother flow of traffic on the NH Bypass and NH 66 corridor. Motorists are now required to take alternate routes for right turns, which has helped reduce waiting times at the junction. Additional adjustments are planned to further improve traffic flow. In addition, heavy vehicles will have restricted passage through certain junctions during peak hours to alleviate congestion further. These measures have been well received by officials and are proving to be effective in reducing traffic snarls in the area.
