A 50-metre stretch of track at Intikanne in Mahabubabad has been washed away, disrupting railway traffic on the Warangal-Vijayawada route for the past three days. The Grand Trunk route, a crucial rail corridor, has been closed since September 1 due to floods caused by heavy rains. Efforts to restore the route are ongoing, with 500 workers and 20 JCBs working to repair the track. It is hoped that the route will be restored by Wednesday. The disruption has led to the cancellation and diversion of several trains, causing extensive delays for passengers traveling between cities like Delhi, Chennai, and AP.
