During a visit to the area, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 74 development projects worth Rs 185 crore. He celebrated Diwali with forest dwellers in Vantangiya village and warned against disrupting peace or committing crimes against women. Adityanath criticized those who divide society along caste, regional, and linguistic lines, comparing them to characters from Hindu mythology. He urged the community to remain united against divisive elements and emphasized the consequences for those who cause chaos during festivals. The chief minister’s remarks were seen as a veiled attack on the previous Samajwadi Party government in the state.
