The waves have caused flooding in low-lying areas, with seawater entering homes and displacing families. Coastal regions from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod have been affected for two days in a row. Fishermen in Kollam district moved their vessels to safer locations, while in Thiruvananthapuram, seawater entered around 150 houses. The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services has warned of more waves until Friday, advising coastal communities to be cautious.
