SP warns action against violations in sale of firecrackers



Sri Sathya Sai district Superintendent of Police V. Ratna emphasized the importance of following legal regulations when selling firecrackers for Deepavali. She warned against storing firecrackers illegally and without government approval, stating that violators would face legal action. Ratna urged vendors and the public to adhere to safety standards, with only licensed shopkeepers allowed to sell firecrackers in designated areas. She stressed the need for fire-fighting resources and instructed that safety measures be in place during the festival. Ratna encouraged collaboration among police and government departments for a safe celebration. She also urged parents to supervise children using firecrackers and instructed reporting any accidents or illegal sales. Additionally, strategies to combat theft and anti-social activities were initiated, with a focus on monitoring suspicious individuals and preventing illegal transportation of substances. Police personnel were advised to keep a vigil in key locations during the festival season.
