Siddaramaiah Under ED Probe: Social Activist Summoned in Muda Scam | Bengaluru News

The Enforcement Directorate has started investigating the alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (Muda) alternative site allotment scam, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as the primary accused. Social activist Snehamayi Krishna’s complaint led to an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) against Siddaramaiah, his wife, and two others. The investigation follows an FIR filed by the Lokayukta police, accusing Siddaramaiah of corruption, forgery, and cheating. The ED has invoked sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in its inquiry. The pressure on Siddaramaiah has increased, with possible statewide raids on his close associates’ offices and residences on the horizon.
