A tragic incident occurred in Bengaluru, where a 28-year-old man named Shivu lost his life while travelling as a pillion rider on a scooter that hit a central median pillar. The rider, Gopal Krishna, also sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. The duo were returning home from work when the accident occurred due to speeding in the underpass. The police have taken a suo-motu case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are waiting for Krishna’s recovery to take further action.
