School teacher dies in landslip in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu

Her family was also stuck but was rescued by Fire and Rescue Services. Unfortunately, Jayalakshmi did not survive. The heavy rains in Coonoor caused multiple landslides, affecting train services as well. The area recorded a significant amount of rainfall, leading to cancellations of train services between Mettupalayam and Udhagamandalam.
