Rs 7,000 crore stock broking scam rocks Hyderabad, FIR filed | Hyderabad News

A major scam involving DB Stock Broking has hit Hyderabad, with investors losing significant amounts of money to the fraudulent online stockbroking company. The prime accused, Deepankar Barman, started the company in 2018 and attracted clients with high-interest schemes. Victims from Hyderabad and across India have reported losses, with many still waiting to receive their principal amounts. Barman fled to Australia in August 2024, complicating efforts to bring him to justice. The Cyberabad police have filed cases against Barman and his associates for criminal breach of trust and cheating. The investigation is ongoing, with more victims expected to come forward in the future.
