Anaparthi MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy recently kicked off roadworks from Illapalli to Kadiyam, earmarking Rs 6.3 crore for enhancements along the Kakinada-Samalkot canal route. This project, which was originally planned in 2012 with a budget of Rs 230 crore, had been delayed due to legal complications and temporary fixes. Reddy mentioned that until the road gets officially recognized as a National Highway by the central government, a process that may take up to two years, the ongoing improvements will offer temporary relief to commuters.
