The state human rights commission chairperson is concerned about the poor condition of public roads in Thiruvananthapuram due to delays in completing works by the Kerala water authority and PWD. He emphasized the need for smooth and safe travel for the public by addressing issues like waterlogging, maintenance, and potholes. The commission has directed the chief engineers of both departments to appear in person at a sitting on Oct 10 with suggestions to resolve the issue. The PWD must provide details on the road conditions and the water authority must explain the delay in pipe installation. Actions are being taken to ensure that the road repairs are completed satisfactorily.
