Former BJP MP and ex-WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh expressed pride in wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, attributing it to his name’s influence. Phogat, on the other hand, called her win a result of struggle and truth. Singh criticized Congress and hailed the INDIA bloc’s lead in Jammu and Kashmir. He also mentioned the controversy surrounding him and Phogat during their time in the wrestling federation. Singh’s son, Karan Bhushan Singh, won the Lok Sabha polls after Singh was not given a ticket due to the allegations.
