Post shuffle sees Sriram Venkitaraman named director of agri development dept

Sriram Venkitaraman has been appointed as the director of Agriculture Development and Farmer’s Welfare Department after being transferred from his previous post. This move comes amidst the charges he is facing in connection to a 2019 road accident that resulted in the death of journalist KM Basheer. The government has also made other transfers within the department, with Rajesh GR and PB Nooh taking on new roles. Adeela Abdulla, the current director of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, has been appointed as the special secretary of the Social Justice Department.
