The City police commissioner in Ahmedabad has made it mandatory for all cops to wear helmets while riding two-wheelers. This is in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act and Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules. The order applies to all police officers and personnel, including civilian staff, whether in uniform or civilian dress. Checks will be conducted at all entry and exit points to ensure compliance, and those without helmets will not be allowed entry. Supervisory officers and unit heads are responsible for ensuring their subordinates follow the rules, and legal action will be taken for any violations.
