PM Modi to launch India’s first ‘Vande Metro’ service during two-day Gujarat visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch multiple projects in his home state of Gujarat, including a new metro rail project between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar and a Vande Bharat train between Ahmedabad and Kutch. He will also open a renewable energy summit and address a convention of BJP workers. The Vande Metro is a fully air-conditioned train that will run between Ahmedabad and Bhuj, stopping at nine stations and covering the 360-kilometer distance in five hours and 45 minutes. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the second phase of the metro line connecting various important locations in the area to improve urban mobility. Additionally, he will release assistance to beneficiaries under various housing schemes and launch new apps and guidelines related to housing and renewable energy.
