The state government in Thiruvananthapuram is making changes to the higher education system by introducing four-year courses and creating a model postgraduate curriculum for colleges in Kerala. A committee has been formed to develop the curriculum and guidelines for transferring current first-year students to the second year. The committee has four months to submit their report. Additionally, a coordination committee is being established for an upcoming international higher education conclave in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, aimed at positioning Kerala as a hub for higher education. The first phase of the conclave, ‘Udyama’, will be organized by the department of technical education in Thiruvananthapuram from Dec 17 to 19.
