Pakistan patient, Indian doctor and eye operation in Sri Lanka | India News



A blind man from Lahore was unable to get an Indian medical visa for treatment, so a Mumbai-based eye surgeon stepped in to operate on him in Colombo. With the help of a local surgeon, the operation was successful and the patient was able to see his family for the first time in four years. The patient had suffered from a damaged right eye and failed corneal transplants on his left eye. The surgeon decided to try an artificial cornea, which proved to be the patient’s only hope for regaining his sight.
