Out-of-job man nabbed for hoax mail to Bengaluru colleges | Bengaluru News



A 48-year-old man from Darjeeling was arrested for sending hoax bomb threats to two educational institutions in Bengaluru. The man, Deepanjan Mitra, admitted to sending similar threats to other schools as well. He is jobless and lives with his widower father. Police suspect he may have sent threats to many more institutions. Mitra, who claims to be a trekker and music lover, has deleted his email history. He has been granted transit remand and will be brought to Bengaluru for further investigation.
