Nungambakkam Sees Record Rainfall: 14cm in 24 Hours—Highest in a Decade | Chennai News



Chennai has experienced record-breaking rainfall recently, with the highest 24-hour rainfall recorded since 2014. The IMD forecasts normal to above-normal rainfall in October for most parts of Tamil Nadu. Over the next 48 hours, the city can expect light to moderate rain with thunderstorms. Weather experts are monitoring a potential cyclonic circulation that may bring more rainfall around Oct 20-21. Overall, Chennai has seen a significant amount of rainfall this month, with the potential for more to come.
