Home Minister G. Parameshwar criticized Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot for seeking details on ‘day-to-day administration’, stating that the State Government is not obligated to respond to all communication from Raj Bhavan. He emphasized that the Governor’s responsibility is to protect the Constitution’s ideals, while day-to-day administration is the Chief Minister and government’s responsibility. Parameshwar highlighted that it is not necessary to respond to all communications from the Governor and that such interference goes against the spirit of the Constitution. The government opposed the Governor’s move to issue a show-cause notice to the Chief Minister without proper investigation, urging him to review his decision.
