NCP unveils first list of 45 candidates for Maharashtra elections

The NCP (SP) state chief Jayant Patil has announced the candidature of Yugendra Pawar for the Baramati seat in response to demands from local people. Yugendra is a young, educated member of the Pawar clan, following in the footsteps of his prominent family members who have entered politics. The NCP (SP) list also includes well-known figures like Jayant Patil, Anil Deshmukh, and Rajesh Tope, with Jayant Patil contesting from Islampur. However, there has been a setback for the party as Sameer Bhujbal, nephew of Chhagan Bhujbal, has resigned and filed his independent nomination for the Nandgaon constituency in Nashik district, currently under the Mahayuti alliance.
