National Exit Test for Ayush to apply to students who had enrolled from 2021-2022 onwards: Minister

Union Minister of State for Ayush and Health and Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, announced that the National Exit Test (NExT) for Ayush will now be applicable to students who enrolled from the 2021-22 academic session onwards. This decision was made after receiving feedback from students and holding discussions with Ayurveda and homeopathy students. The test is mandatory for licensing and enrollment in state or national registers after completing a one-year internship. The aim is to ensure a fair and transparent process while maintaining the quality of Ayush education and healthcare standards. NExT assesses clinical competency, medical ethics understanding, and ability to handle medico-legal cases for graduates in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Sowa-Rigpa.
