MVA discussed 216 seats, doors open for Samajwadi Party, says Vijay Wadettiwar ahead of Maharashtra polls | Mumbai News



Vijay Wadettiwar, the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, announced that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has discussed 216 seats for the upcoming assembly elections. Talks for the remaining seats will be held later today. The final seat-sharing arrangement is expected to be announced by this evening or tomorrow. Wadettiwar also addressed concerns raised by Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra unit chief, Abu Azmi, and assured that the alliance is still open to SP. The MVA will discuss seat allocation for the Samajwadi Party in today’s meeting, with a similar arrangement to the Congress-SP agreement in Uttar Pradesh. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav stated that he will be heading to Maharashtra to discuss seat-sharing plans.
