The State agriculture minister clarified that the zipline in the Kalaignar centenary park was not faulty as claimed by the AIADMK general secretary. He attributed the criticism to anger over reclaiming illegally occupied land from an AIADMK supporter. The minister also addressed concerns about high fees, stating that they were reasonable and nominal charges were applied for additional services.
