Mehbooba Mufti dissolves PDP structure; new leadership soon

Mehbooba Mufti, the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP), announced the dissolution of the party’s structure. New office bearers and bodies will be formed after discussions with senior leaders. Mufti congratulated the National Conference-Congress alliance for winning the people’s mandate in the recent assembly elections. She emphasized the importance of a stable government in the region. Mufti thanked PDP leaders and workers for their hard work during the campaign and urged them not to give up. The assembly elections for the 90 seats in Jammu and Kashmir were held in three phases in September and October.
