The state monitoring cell raided a small-scale industrial estate in Ahmedabad and seized 2,100 litres of a chemical suspected to be used in making spurious liquor. The cops suspect it could be ethanol or methanol and samples have been sent for analysis. A case has been registered and the chemical was found in 10 barrels on the premises of the estate. An assistant sub-inspector from the SMC team confirmed the incident and noted that a vehicle was parked nearby.
