The Central Crime Branch in Bengaluru seized 626 parcels containing various narcotic substances from the Foreign Post Office. The parcels had been left unclaimed since 2018, and efforts to trace the consignees were unsuccessful. The CCB used a sniffer dog to identify parcels containing drugs, and it was discovered that a large number of parcels were involved. The exact quantity of drugs seized is still being determined. It is believed that people use the dark web and cryptocurrency to order drugs, resulting in incorrect addresses and unclaimed parcels. On average, 100 parcels go unclaimed each year.
