A man in Ahmedabad filed a legal complaint against a local pizza chain for overcharging him by 24 paise. He believed he should have been charged 76 paise less after applying a discount and GST. When the restaurant did not respond to his complaint, he took the matter to the Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission in Gandhinagar. However, the commission deemed his complaint as frivolous and a waste of their time, ruling in favor of the restaurant. The man was ordered to pay a penalty of Rs 1,000 for his actions. Overall, his fight for pocket change ended up costing him dearly.
