West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her willingness to resign for the sake of the people and also emphasized the need for justice for the murdered RG Kar hospital doctor. She apologized to the people of Bengal for not being able to resolve the impasse with junior doctors at RG Kar hospital. Banerjee urged the doctors to return to work and stated that she is ready to step down if it will benefit the people. Despite her efforts, the medics have declined to hold talks, leading to ongoing tensions in the state.
