‘Major milestone’: A push to public transport as Namo Bharat train reaches Delhi | Delhi News

The Namo Bharat train has started trial runs on a 12km section from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. Once operational, it will offer a fast travel option between the two stations, reducing travel time to less than 40 minutes. Anand Vihar RRTS station is expected to become a busy transit hub due to its proximity to various transport modes. Integration with metro stations and other facilities will provide easy access to commuters. The entire 82 km corridor is targeted to be completed by June 2025, allowing passengers to travel between Delhi and Meerut in less than an hour.
