Liquor may get costlier in Telangana as govt mulls raising prices | Hyderabad News

The Congress government in Hyderabad is considering increasing liquor prices, which would be the third hike in the last five years. Discussions have begun on the proposal, which would also include license and registration fees for companies and distilleries. The state has been earning over Rs 30,000 crore from liquor in recent years. Additionally, the government has cancelled the registration process of Som Distilleries and Breweries due to allegations against the company.
