Modi called him one of India’s most respected statesmen and highlighted his intellect and insights. Advani was also recently awarded the Bharat Ratna for his service to the nation. Former president Ram Nath Kovind and Home Minister Amit Shah also commended Advani’s leadership and dedication to public service. As a key figure in the BJP’s growth, Advani’s role as party president and his service as deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister were lauded by his peers.
