Kriti Sanon, an advocate for women empowerment and gender equality, was honored at the 50th anniversary celebration of UNFPA India. She was praised for her role in the film Mimi, which sheds light on important issues surrounding women’s reproductive health and surrogate motherhood. The Executive Director of UNFPA recognized Kriti’s impact in advancing these important issues and empowering young girls to dream big. Kriti expressed her gratitude for the recognition but emphasized that the focus should remain on the incredible work done by UNFPA in India.
