KPCC president K Sudhakaran dismissed reports claiming that the KPCC panel found the Pooram festival controversy was not the reason for UDF candidate’s defeat in Thrissur during the Lok Sabha elections. The actual report is still under consideration by the party. Sudhakaran criticized the media for spreading contradictory information to discredit the party and hide the alliance between CPM and BJP. He believes that the controversy over the Pooram festival was a significant factor in BJP candidate Suresh Gopi’s victory in Thrissur.
