Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha president, Badagalpura Nagendra, and other leaders are concerned that the current Congress government’s agricultural policies are similar to those of the previous BJP government. They are urging the State Government to clarify its stance on withdrawing amendments to Land Reforms Act and APMC Act made by the BJP. The KRRS is worried about the corporatization of agriculture and feels that the government is not fulfilling its promises to farmers. They warn of potential protests if the government continues to follow BJP policies. Farmers feel betrayed and are demanding action from the government.
