Two non-local workers from Uttar Pradesh were shot and injured while working on a water tank construction project in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district. They were identified as Mohammad Usman and Sufiyan and are now in stable condition after being shifted to a hospital in Srinagar. This incident occurred amidst a series of terrorist attacks in the valley, including an attack on an army ambulance in Akhnoor district where three terrorists were killed. A brave Army dog, Phantom, also lost his life in the anti-terror operation. The involvement of Jaish-e-Mohammed is suspected in these attacks. The central government has launched combing operations in response to the increase in terrorist activity in the region.
