Jharkhand Congress minister Alamgir Alam, arrested in money laundering case, resigns | India News

Congress leader Alamgir Alam resigned from his position as a cabinet minister and leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) three weeks after being arrested in a money laundering case. He submitted his resignation letters to Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and chief minister Champai Soren. CM Soren took over Alam’s portfolios before his resignation. Alam was detained by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case.
