Janardhan Reddy’s followers celebrate after Supreme Court lifts ban on his visit to Ballari

Supporters of mining baron and MLA G. Janardhan Reddy in Ballari celebrated his return to the district after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on his entry. Reddy, who was accused in an illegal mining case and banned from entering Ballari for nearly 13 years, was welcomed with firecrackers and banners. Despite the ban, he had visited Ballari on occasion with court permission. Reddy had launched his own party and later merged with the BJP. His supporters are planning a grand welcome for him in Ballari on Thursday.
