Jai Shri Ram: Karnataka HC Rules ‘Jai Shri Ram’ Chanting Not Offensive to Religious Feelings | Bengaluru News

The Karnataka High Court quashed proceedings against two individuals accused of shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at a mosque, stating that this action does not outrage the religious feelings of any class. The incident, which occurred in Bileneli village, was captured on CCTV and led to a complaint being filed against the two individuals for various offences. However, the court found that there was no evidence to support the allegations and that the incident did not disturb the peace or public order in the area. The judge emphasized that not every act constitutes an offence under Section 295A of the IPC and that the incident in question did not lead to acrimony between Hindus and Muslims in the community.
