ISRO’s NVS-02 Satellite Suffers Setback As Thrusters Fail to Fire



The NVS-02 satellite, crucial for India’s space-based navigation system, was launched on January 29 but faced setbacks as the thrusters failed to fire. ISRO’s 100th mission was launched successfully, but the satellite is currently in an elliptical orbit which is not suitable for navigation. Despite the setback, the satellite systems are healthy, and alternate mission strategies are being considered. The launch on board the GSLV rocket was successful, with all stages performing flawlessly. Communication with the ground station has been established. ISRO is working on utilizing the satellite in its current orbit for navigation.
