On January 29, 2025, ISRO successfully launched its 100th mission from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The GSLV-F15 carrying the NVS-02 satellite was placed into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit, marking a significant achievement for the Indian space agency. The NVS-02 satellite is part of India’s Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) system, providing accurate Position, Velocity, and Timing services to users in India and the surrounding region. This launch is a milestone in India’s space exploration journey, showcasing the country’s capabilities in satellite technology.
