Various political leaders, film stars, and business leaders have congratulated Udhayanidhi Stalin on his appointment as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The President of Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, and former Union finance minister P Chidambaram extended their best wishes. Actor Rajinikanth, Adani Ports managing director Karan Adani, and other leaders also congratulated Udhayanidhi. On the other hand, opposition parties, including BJP and former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, criticized his elevation, questioning the reasons behind it. Despite the criticism, leaders like VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan and PMK founder S Ramadoss welcomed Udhayanidhi’s appointment.
