India calls Canada’s allegations against Amit Shah ‘absurd & baseless’ | Onmanorama News



India has expressed strong protest over Canada’s allegations against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Canadian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister claimed that Shah was behind plots targeting Sikh separatists on Canadian soil. India summoned the Canadian High Commission representative and handed over a diplomatic note condemning the remarks as absurd and baseless. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson stated that such actions will have serious consequences for bilateral ties. This incident has further strained diplomatic relations between India and Canada, especially after previous allegations made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding India’s involvement in the killing of a Khalistani terrorist.
