Thanks to the heavy rainfall, the dams in Gujarat have been receiving a lot of water, leading to a significant increase in power generation at hydropower stations in the state. In August, the power generation more than tripled compared to July, with a total of 1,067 million units (MU) being generated. The majority of this electricity was produced at the Sardar Sarovar dam site. Overall, there are five hydropower stations in the state, including Ukai Hydro, Kadana, and Sardar Sarovar RBPH. This increase in power generation is a positive sign for the state, as it reflects a significant growth in hydropower generation in recent years.
