A 24-year-old man named Shaik Taj was found guilty of sodomising and brutally killing a 12-year-old boy in Hyderabad. The Special Court for POCSO cases sentenced him to rigorous imprisonment for the rest of his life on one charge and a life term on two more charges. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 and announced compensation for the boy’s family. The incident occurred in July 2018 when the boy, who was studying in a religious institute, went missing and was later found dead with severe injuries.
