Hyderabad blood banks face shortage as viral infections surge | Hyderabad News



Due to a rise in dengue, chikungunya, and other viral infections, blood banks are facing a shortage of blood. Dr. Ameen Rupani emphasized the importance of blood donation drives, urging individuals to come forward voluntarily. A recent Blood Donation Camp organized by Ismaili CIVIC and Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust saw over 250 donors participating. Dr. Shiva Naik highlighted the health benefits of blood donation, including reducing risks of cholesterol, cardiovascular issues, and cancer. The Global Ismaili CIVIC Day brought together volunteers worldwide to contribute to community well-being. Donor Sampath Kumar stressed the impact of blood donation in saving lives, while Councillor Jyotsana Reddy emphasized the importance of community efforts for societal welfare.
